TRIbbs DIrectory Enhancer
Version 1.0b
(C)1993 Latshaw Software
Released: 05-18-1993
TriDie is a utility for TriBBS versions 4.0 and later which creates
DIRSALL.ANS and MSGALL.ANS files. It is executed from the LOGON.BAT
and creates the files accordingly depending on the users access and
privledges.
INSTALLATION:
1. Place all the TRIDIE files in their own directory.
2. In your LOGON.BAT, place a CD command to that directory and then place
one of the following lines after it:
TRIDIE <executes TRIDIE for BOTH file and message areas
------or--------------
TRIDIE F <executes TRIDIE for File areas ONLY
------or--------------
TRIDIE M <executes TRIDIE for Message areas ONLY
3. Edit the TRIDIE.CFG file to your BBS as follows:
Example of Config file (TRIDIE.CFG)
----------------------------------
c:\tribbs ;path to this nodes TRIBBS.SYS
c:\tribbs\mwork ;path to main nodes FAREA.DAT
c:\tribbs\display ;path to this nodes display directory
9600 ;min. baud rate required to activate
(Slow baud callers may find tedious)
.....Thats it to installing TRIDIE. Now, if you would like your users to
have the ability to turn TRIDIE off, you can. Simply create a menu item in
your message and file areas that basically says:"Turn OFF Directory Enhancer"
and have the corresponding .BAT file execute:
TRIDIE OFF
This will erase the .ANS files and return the caller to the normal listings.
To register TRIDIE, send $20 to:
